Arroyo Concepción is a town in the Germán Busch Province of Bolivia. It is the second largest town in the Puerto Quijarro area. The town of Puerto Quijarro is just south of Arroyo Concepción.
Arroyo Concepción is about 105 meters (344 feet) above sea level. It is located southeast of a lake called Laguna Cáceres. The town is right by the Paraguay River.
On the southeastern edge of Arroyo Concepción, there is a border crossing. This crossing connects towns like Puerto Suárez and Puerto Quijarro in Bolivia with the city of Corumbá in Brazil.
What is the Geography Like?
Arroyo Concepción is in the Bolivian part of the Pantanal. The Pantanal is one of the biggest wetlands in the world. It is a huge area of swamps and marshes.
The average temperature in this area is about 26 degrees Celsius (79 degrees Fahrenheit). The temperature does not change much throughout the year. It is a bit cooler in June and July (22-23°C or 72-73°F). It gets warmer from October to February (28-29°C or 82-84°F).
The area gets a little over 1,000 millimeters (39 inches) of rain each year. There is a short dry season in June and August. During these months, the rainfall is usually less than 30 millimeters (1.2 inches) per month.
