Arzuhan is the daughter of Aydın Doğan. Her father was also a very important business leader. He led Doğan Holding before she took over in 2010.

From 2007 to 2010, Arzuhan made history. She became the first woman to lead the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TÜSİAD). This group is the main association for business people in Turkey.

Arzuhan went to high school in Istanbul. She then studied sociology at Boğaziçi University. Later, she traveled to the United Kingdom. There, she studied business administration to learn more about running companies. She is married to a businessman named Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ.
