Ash Atalla, born on June 18, 1972, is a talented TV producer from Britain. He was born in Egypt. Ash has helped create many popular British TV shows. Some of these include The Office, The IT Crowd, Man Stroke Woman, and People Just Do Nothing. He has also appeared briefly in shows like Ricky Gervais's Politics.

Ash Atalla's Early Life
Ash Atalla was born in Cairo, Egypt. His family was a regular middle-class family. When he was a baby, he got a sickness called polio. Because of this, he uses a wheelchair.
His family later moved to London, England, because of his father's job. Ash went to the University of Bath. There, he studied business and finance. Before working in TV, he had short jobs as a stockbroker and a currency trader. When he was 22, he started working for free at BBC Watchdog, which was his first step into media.
Ash Atalla's Career in Television
Ash Atalla first appeared on TV in 1999. He helped present a show on Channel 4 called Freak Out. This show was about disability.
Producing Hit Comedy Shows
In 2001, Ash produced the very popular comedy show The Office. This show became a huge hit!
In 2004, Ash joined a company called Talkback Thames. He became the Head of Comedy there. He produced a science spoof show called Look Around You for BBC2. He also produced the third series of Bo Selecta!.
In 2005, he came up with an idea for a new comedy sketch show. It was called Man Stroke Woman. This show was about growing up and aired from 2005 to 2007. He also produced another popular comedy, The IT Crowd, which ran from 2006 to 2010.
Starting Roughcut TV
In 2007, Ash Atalla started his own company called Roughcut TV. This company makes TV shows.
Roughcut TV produced a show called Trinity for ITV2 in 2008. Since then, Roughcut TV has made many shows for all the big TV channels in the UK.
