Ashford is a small town located in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In the year 2000, about 1,773 people lived there. The town includes two smaller communities called Ashford and Elmore.

History of Ashford

Ashford wasn't always called Ashford! It was first known as Chili. But on January 26, 1854, the Wisconsin State Legislature decided to change its name. They picked "Ashford" because there were many ash trees growing in the area.
