Benedito de Assis da Silva (November 12, 1952 – July 6, 2014), known simply as Assis, was a famous Brazilian football player. He was especially well-known for his time playing as a forward for Fluminense, a big football club in Brazil. After he stopped playing, Assis worked as a coach for Fluminense's youth teams, helping young players learn the game.
Assis sadly passed away on July 6, 2014, when he was 61 years old. He died because his body's organs stopped working properly.
