Starting in Brazil
Ataliba began his professional career in Brazil. He first played for Ponte Preta in 1998. After that, he spent several years with Coritiba. He played there from 1999 to 2001 and again in 2002 and 2004. Coritiba was one of the main clubs in his career. He also played for other well-known Brazilian teams. These included Sport Recife, Atlético Mineiro, and Botafogo.
Playing Abroad: Japan and Iran
