According to the 2010 United States Census, Atlanta had 1,692 people living there. Most of the people were White. There were also smaller numbers of Black, Asian, and Native American residents. About 1.5% of the population was Hispanic or Latino.
There were 718 households in the city. In about 30.4% of these homes, children under 18 lived with their families. Many homes (53.2%) were married couples living together. About 27.9% of all households were made up of people living alone. Also, 24.7% of households had someone aged 65 or older.
The average age of people in Atlanta was 39.3 years old. There were slightly more females (51.7%) than males (48.3%). Most homes (79.4%) were owned by the people living in them, while 20.6% were rented.
