Atsushi Mio (美尾 敦, Mio Atsushi, born January 26, 1983) is a former Japanese football player. He was born in Yokohama, Japan. Atsushi Mio played as a Midfielder during his career. He played for several teams in Japan's professional leagues.

Atsushi Mio's Football Journey
Atsushi Mio started his football career in 2001. He joined Ventforet Kofu, a team in the J2 League. He played many games right from his first season.
Playing for Kyoto Sanga FC
In 2002, Mio moved to Kyoto Purple Sanga. This team was in the top league, the J1 League. He didn't play much in his first two years there.
However, things changed in 2004. A new manager, Koichi Hashiratani, arrived. Mio started playing a lot more games. In 2005, his team, Kyoto Sanga FC, won the championship in the J2 League. This meant they were promoted back to the J1 League.
In 2006, the team struggled in the J1 League. They finished last. After that season, the manager left, and Mio played less in 2007.
Returning to Ventforet Kofu
In 2008, Atsushi Mio went back to Ventforet Kofu. This was the team he started with seven years earlier. He played many matches in 2008. But in 2009, he didn't get to play as much.
Time at Gainare Tottori
In 2010, Mio joined Gainare Tottori. This team was in the Japan Football League. He played in every single game that season. His team won the championship in 2010.
Because they won, Gainare Tottori was promoted to the J2 League in 2011. Mio continued to play many games for them until 2012.
Final Years at FC Gifu
In 2013, Atsushi Mio moved to FC Gifu, another J2 League team. He was a regular player in 2013. However, in 2014, he didn't play many matches. At the end of the 2014 season, Atsushi Mio decided to retire from professional football.
