Early Life and Becoming Vegan

Attila Hildmann was born in West Berlin. His family background is Turkish, but he was raised by German adoptive parents. He started studying physics at the Free University of Berlin but did not finish his degree.

In 2000, something important happened in his life. His adoptive father passed away from a heart attack. Attila believed this was linked to eating too much meat and having high cholesterol. He was also quite overweight at the time. This event made him decide to change his lifestyle. He stopped eating meat and fish. He also started exercising regularly. He lost a lot of weight, about 35 kilograms. Over time, he stopped eating almost all animal products and became mostly vegan.

His Career as a Cookbook Author

In 2009, Attila Hildmann published his very first vegan cookbook. His books became quite popular. In 2012, his book Vegan for Fun was recognized as the cookbook of the year. This award came from Vegetarierbund Deutschland, which is the German part of the International Vegetarian Union.

Attila Hildmann also appeared on television. He was on many TV shows and talk shows. These included Maischberger, TV total, and Volle Kanne on ZDF. He even participated in the TV dance show Let's Dance in March 2016. In April 2017, he was on another TV show called Schlag den Star.

Spreading Unusual Ideas

Views on Society

In 2015, Attila Hildmann shared his thoughts on how people from other countries fit into Germany. He said that it was a sensitive topic because of Germany's past. He felt it led to Germans not valuing their own culture enough. Some people criticized this view. They said it mixed extreme political ideas with a love for animals.

Ideas About the Pandemic

In 2020, Attila Hildmann began spreading unusual ideas about the COVID-19 pandemic. He claimed that the German government was working with Bill Gates. He said they wanted to force people to get vaccinated. He also claimed they wanted to create a society where everyone was watched.

He also made claims about the Pergamon Altar museum in Berlin. In August 2020, the museum was closed due to the pandemic. Hildmann claimed that secret rituals were happening there at night. He called the altar a "center of global `...` and Corona criminals." The BBC noted that some German news sources linked these claims to acts of damage at the museum later that year.

After being blocked from major social media sites, Hildmann used other platforms. He built a network on Telegram. He also uploaded videos to a platform called "wtube."
