What Was the Austin K5 Used For?

The Austin K5 had different jobs during the war.

• Carrying Guns: Some K5 trucks had an open back. They were used to carry a special anti-tank gun. This gun was called the Ordnance QF 6 pounder. This setup was used a lot in the North African Campaign.
• General Transport: Other K5 trucks had an enclosed cab. These were used for general service (GS). This meant they carried supplies, equipment, and soldiers.
