The Universidad Autónoma del Carmen (Spanish for 'Autonomous University of Carmen') is a public university located in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico. It's a place where students go to learn after high school. This university was started on June 13, 1967. Before it became a university, it was an older school called Liceo Carmelita, which began way back in 1854.

The university has eight main areas of study, like different departments. These include:
- Engineering and Technology
- Health Sciences
- Natural Sciences
- Chemical and Oil Sciences

Where the Campuses Are
The university has three main locations, which are called campuses.
- Campus I is where many of the study areas are located. It also has a sports stadium called Estadio Resurgimiento. This stadium is home to a professional baseball team, the Delfines del Carmen.
- Campus II is in the city's shopping area. This campus is for students who are still in high school, in what is called the bachillerato program.
- Campus III is a bit outside of town. It's where students study health, natural sciences, and engineering.
The university also runs its own radio station, XHUACC-FM 88.9.
