Ava Michelle Cota is an American actress. She was born on April 10, 2002. Ava is famous for playing Jodi Kreyman in the Netflix movies Tall Girl and Tall Girl 2. She also appeared often on the TV show Dance Moms from season three to season seven. For a short time in season four, she was part of the Select Ensemble team.

Ava Michelle Cota was born on April 10, 2002. Her parents are Rick and Jeanette Cota. She grew up in Linden, Michigan. Ava went to JC's Broadway Dance Academy. Her mother, Jeanette, owned and ran this dance school. It closed permanently in 2022.
Dance and Modeling
Ava is trained in many dance styles. These include contemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap dance. She was a guest dancer on the ALDC "Select Team" in season 4 of Dance Moms.
Besides dancing, Ava is also a model. She walked the runway for the first time at New York Fashion Week in 2017. In 2018, she started a social media campaign. It was called #13Reasons4Me. This campaign encouraged people to list 13 things they love about themselves or their lives.
Ava's Career
Ava Cota first appeared on the TV show Dance Moms in 2013. She was a regular on the show for four more years. In 2018, she went on tour across the United States. She toured with other stars from Dance Moms.
In 2016, Ava was in the first episode of So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.

In 2018, Ava appeared in several short movies. She also had roles in two episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful. Her first big acting role was playing the main character in the Netflix movie Tall Girl. This movie came out on September 13, 2019. Ava began filming the sequel, Tall Girl 2, in April 2021.
