Dance Moms is an American reality television show. It first aired on the Lifetime channel on July 13, 2011. The show was created by Collins Avenue Productions.
The series follows young dancers as they train and compete in dance. Their teacher is Abby Lee Miller. The show also looks at the relationships between Abby, the dancers, and their mothers. The mothers sometimes have disagreements. The show was first filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Later, it moved to Los Angeles, California.
