Avalon is a small town located in Stephens County, Georgia, in the United States. In 2020, about 233 people lived there. The town's name, Avalon, comes from the legendary island of paradise in the stories of King Arthur.

Avalon was started in 1882 by Richard Dempsey Yow. It officially became a town in 1909. Richard Yow and his two brothers also began a successful business there. Long ago, Avalon was a complete village with its own railway station, post office, school, and church. Today, its small population shares many of these services with nearby towns.
