Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Search is a graphic novel (a comic book that tells a complete story). It was written by Gene Yang and drawn by Studio Gurihiru. This story came out in three parts during 2013. It continues the adventures from the Avatar: The Last Airbender TV show. It also sets up some things for The Legend of Korra, another animated series. Both shows were made by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. This graphic novel happens after the story of Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Promise. Its sequel is Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Rift.

What is The Search About?

The Search focuses on a big mystery: what happened to Zuko and Azula's long-lost mother, Ursa? The story shares details about former Princess Azula's time in a Fire Nation hospital. It also explores the complicated relationship between Fire Lord Ozai and Ursa.

Who are the Main Characters?

The main characters are members of the Fire Nation royal family. These include Zuko and his sister, Azula. Avatar Aang, Sokka, and Katara also join them. They help the Fire Nation siblings search for their missing mother.

Supernatural Elements in the Story

The writer, Gene Yang, mentioned something interesting about The Search. He said this series would explore more of the supernatural side of the Avatar world. This means you might see more spirits or magical elements.
