Where is Aydelotte Located?

How Did Aydelotte Get Its Name?
The history of Aydelotte's name is quite interesting. When the Santa Fe Railroad first planned this community in 1903, they called it Hansmeyer. However, the name was later changed to Aydelotte. This new name was chosen to honor one of the railroad's employees, J.M. Aydelotte. Railroads often played a big role in naming towns as they expanded across the country.
