Ayesha Omar (Urdu: عائشہ عمر; born on October 12, 1981) is a famous Pakistani actress. She is known for her great sense of style and is one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in Pakistan.
In 2012, Ayesha released her first songs, "Chalte Chalte" and "Khamoshi." These songs were very popular in Pakistan. She even won a Lux Style Award for Best Album. Later, she started acting in movies. Her first main movie role was in the romantic comedy Karachi Se Lahore in 2015. She also played supporting roles in the war film Yalghaar (2017) and the drama Kaaf Kangana (2019).

Early Life and School
Ayesha Omar was born in Lahore, Pakistan. Her father passed away when she was only one year old. Her mother raised Ayesha and her brother by herself. Ayesha has said that her childhood taught her to be strong and independent.
She went to Lahore Grammar School and later studied at the National College of Arts. While she was in school and college, she loved taking part in plays and learned how to dance through theater.
Her Career Journey
Starting as a Model
Ayesha Omar began her career as a model. She appeared in many TV commercials for popular brands like Kurkure, Harpic, Capri, Pantene, and Zong.
When she was just eight years old, Ayesha hosted a show called Meray Bachpan Kay Din on PTV. Later, she hosted other shows like Yeh Waqt Hai Mera on CNBC Pakistan, Rhythm on Prime TV, and Hot Chocolate on ARY Zauq. In 2018, she even went to New York Fashion Week to represent the beauty brand Maybelline New York from Pakistan.
Becoming an Actress
Ayesha started her acting journey in a TV show called College Jeans on PTV. After that, she appeared in Geo TV's drama series Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat with famous actors like Bushra Ansari and Jawed Sheikh.
Since 2009, she has been a part of the very popular comedy show Bulbulay. In Bulbulay, she plays the character of Khoobsurat alongside actor Nabeel. Bulbulay became one of the most-watched comedy shows in Pakistan, making Ayesha Omar a well-known name in many households. The show's second season is still on ARY Digital.
Ayesha also acted in other TV dramas like Dil Ko Manana Aya Nahi on PTV and Ladies Park on Geo TV.
In 2012, she was part of the successful romantic drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai on Hum TV. She played Sara, a character with some complex traits. In this show, she played the sister of Fawad Khan's character. She mentioned in an interview that she and Fawad had known each other since college, as they were both part of the music scene in Lahore.
In 2013, she played the main villain, Arzoo, in the show Tanhai on Hum TV, which was also a hit. She also appeared in Soha or Savera on Geo Kahani and Woh Chaar on Hum TV.

After becoming a successful TV actress, Ayesha Omar entered the film industry. Her first main role was in Wajahat Rauf's road trip film Karachi Se Lahore in 2015, where she starred with Shehzad Sheikh. The movie received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success, earning about 10 Crore (which is about US$1.0 million) worldwide.
Ayesha continued to act in TV shows even after signing films. She made guest appearances in Mr. Shamim and Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain 2.
Her next film was Yalghaar in 2017, where she played Zarmina. This film was one of the most expensive Pakistani films ever made. Even though it had many famous actors like Shaan and Humayun Saeed, the film's earnings were not as high as expected compared to its big budget.
In 2018, Ayesha made a special appearance in the film Saat Din Mohabbat In with Sheheryar Munawar. She said she loved the movie's story because it was a fun mix of comedy and romance. This film was a success at the box office.
In 2019, she played a supporting role in the romantic drama Kaaf Kangana. Her performance in this film was praised for bringing a fresh feel to the movie. However, the film itself did not do well at the box office.

Ayesha Omar first sang a song called "Man Chala Hai" for a Capri commercial. She also sang the title songs for her TV shows Ladies Park ("Bhooli Yaadon Mein") and Manjali ("Manjali"). She also released songs like "Aoa" and "Tu Hi Hai."

A Passion for Painting
Ayesha Omar studied Fine Arts at the NCA. She has shared that even before she started acting and modeling, painting and singing were her first loves and career choices.
Personal Life
In December 2015, Ayesha Omar and her co-star Azfar Rehman were in a car accident while traveling from Karachi to Hyderabad. Another car hit their vehicle, causing it to go off the road. After recovering, Ayesha said that her whole life flashed before her eyes during the accident.
