Ayesha Omar (born October 12, 1981) is a famous actress from Pakistan. She is also known as a style icon in her country and is one of Pakistan's most popular and highest-paid actresses.
Besides acting, Ayesha is also a talented singer. In 2012, she released her first songs, "Chalte Chalte" and "Khamoshi." The songs were very popular in Pakistan. For her music, she won the Lux Style Award for Best Album.
She started her movie career in 2015 with the successful romantic comedy Karachi Se Lahore. She also appeared in the war movie Yalghaar (2017) and the drama Kaaf Kangana (2019).

Early Life and School
Ayesha Omar was born in Lahore, Pakistan. Her father passed away when she was only one year old. Her mother raised her and her brother by herself. Ayesha has described her childhood as being both tough and independent.
She went to Lahore Grammar School for her early education. Later, she attended the National College of Arts to earn her bachelor's and master's degrees. During her school years, she was very active in different activities, including dancing in theater plays.
Career Journey
Modeling and Hosting
Ayesha began her career as a model. She appeared in many commercials for popular brands like Kurkure, Harpic, and Pantene.
Her first time on television was when she was just eight years old, hosting a show called Meray Bachpan Kay Din on PTV. She later hosted other shows, including Yeh Waqt Hai Mera and Rhythm. In 2018, she represented the beauty brand Maybelline New York at New York Fashion Week.
Acting in TV and Movies
Ayesha's first acting role was in the TV series College Jeans. After that, she appeared in the drama Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat with famous actors like Bushra Ansari and Jawed Sheikh.
Since 2009, she has played the character Khoobsurat in the popular comedy show Bulbulay. This show became one of the most-watched comedies in Pakistan and made Ayesha a well-known star. A second season of the show, Bulbulay (Season 2), is currently airing.
She also acted in other TV shows like Ladies Park and the very successful romantic drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai. In Zindagi Gulzar Hai, she played Sara, the sister of a character played by actor Fawad Khan. Ayesha and Fawad knew each other from their college days in Lahore.
In 2015, Ayesha starred in her first movie, Karachi Se Lahore. The movie was a hit at the box office, earning over 10 Crore (about $1 million) worldwide.
In 2017, she was in the movie Yalghaar, where she played a character named Zarmina. In 2018, she made a special appearance in the movie Saat Din Mohabbat In. The next year, she had a supporting role in the film Kaaf Kangana.
Singing Career
Ayesha has a passion for music. She sang the theme songs for some of her TV shows, including Ladies Park and Manjali.
In 2012, she released two songs, "Chalte Chalte" and "Khamoshi." Her work earned her the Lux Style Award for Best Album. The next year, she released another song called "Gimme Gimme." She also performed two songs for the famous music show Coke Studio Pakistan (Season 6).
A Passion for Painting
Ayesha studied Fine Arts in college. She has said that painting and singing were her first passions, even before she started acting and modeling.
Personal Life
In December 2015, Ayesha and her co-star Azfar Rehman were in a serious car accident while traveling from Karachi to Hyderabad. After she recovered, Ayesha said that the experience made her see her "entire life flash in front of my eyes."
In a 2020 interview, Ayesha shared that she had faced difficult challenges in her career and life. She said she understands what others go through and hopes to one day have the courage to speak more about her experiences.
