Ayo Jay, whose real name is Ayoola Ogundeyi Jr., is a talented singer from England and Nigeria. He was born on August 9, 1989. Many people also know him by his nickname, Boy Wonder. He has a special agreement, called a record deal, with music companies One Nation and RCA.
Early Life
Ayo Jay found out he was good at singing and writing songs when he was young. After finishing school at International School, Lagos (ISL) in 2006, he moved to the United States. There, he went to Baruch College to study finance and investment.
Music Career
In 2013, Ayo Jay signed a record deal with One Nation Records. This meant they would help him make and release music. His first song, "Your Number," came out on June 21, 2013. The music video for "Your Number" was filmed in Atlanta.
"Your Number" Success
A special version of "Your Number" came out on July 16, 2015. It featured the rapper Fetty Wap. Later, RCA Records re-released "Your Number" after Ayo Jay signed a new deal with them. This song became very popular! On February 28, 2017, it was certified gold by the RIAA. This means it sold or was streamed half a million times.
On August 23, 2016, RCA Records released another remix of "Your Number." This one featured famous artists Chris Brown and Kid Ink.
Other Songs
Ayo Jay has released many other songs. Some of these include "Don't Say That" (2013), "Available" (2014), "Think About Me" (2015), and "Ibadi Yen" (2015). In 2016, he released "Fowosere." Later, in 2017, he put out "Correct G" with Davido and Olamide, "The Vibe," and "Want You." In 2020, he released "Peace Of Mind."

Ayo Jay has won some cool awards for his music!
- 2014: He won "Most Promising Act to Watch" at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
- 2015: He was nominated for "Best New Act to Watch" at the same awards.
- 2016: He won "Diaspora Artist" at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. This award is for artists who live outside their home country but still make music that connects with their roots.
