B. J. Emmons is an American professional football player. He was born on July 3, 1997. He plays as a running back, which is a player who carries the ball. Emmons played college football at three different schools. These were Florida Atlantic, Hutchinson Community College, and Alabama.

B. J. Emmons has played for several professional teams. He was part of four different NFL teams. These include the Seattle Seahawks, Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans. He also played in other leagues. He was with the Tampa Bay Bandits in the USFL. Later, he joined the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Early Life and High School Football

B. J. Emmons grew up in Morganton, North Carolina. He went to Freedom High School. He was a very talented football player there.

In his junior year, he ran for 2,348 yards. He also scored 38 touchdowns. As a senior, he ran for even more yards, 2,417. He scored 41 touchdowns that year. Emmons also caught passes and scored on special teams. He returned two punts for touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a touchdown. He even scored on an interception return.

He was named the best offensive player in his conference. He also made the All-State team. His team, the Patriots, won their conference title three times in a row.

Many colleges wanted Emmons to play for them. He was considered a top player. He first decided to go to Georgia. But then he changed his mind. On July 20, 2015, he chose to play for Alabama.

College Football Journey

Emmons started his college career at Alabama in 2016. He played in seven games. He ran for 173 yards and scored one touchdown. Unfortunately, he got a foot injury that ended his season early. After that season, he decided to transfer to another school.

He then went to Hutchinson Community College in 2017. There, he had a strong season. He ran for 694 yards and scored 10 touchdowns.

Emmons did not play football in 2018. In 2019, he transferred to Florida Atlantic. In his first game there, he broke his ankle. This injury kept him out for most of the season. Professional Football Career

Seattle Seahawks (First Time)

On May 1, 2021, the Seattle Seahawks signed Emmons. He joined them as an undrafted free agent. But he was released by the team on June 18, 2021.

Las Vegas Raiders

Emmons then signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on July 29, 2021. He played well in preseason games. He ran for 90 yards and scored a touchdown. However, he did not make the main team roster. He was signed to their practice squad. He was released from the practice squad on September 6, 2021.

Seattle Seahawks (Second Time)

On November 24, 2021, Emmons returned to the Seattle Seahawks. He was signed to their practice squad again. But he was released just a few days later, on November 30, 2021.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Emmons then joined the Jacksonville Jaguars' practice squad. He signed with them on December 7, 2021. He stayed with the team for about a month. He was released on January 4, 2022.

Tampa Bay Bandits

In 2022, Emmons was chosen by the Tampa Bay Bandits. This team was part of the USFL. He was inactive for one game in May 2022. He was then moved back to the active roster.

Houston Texans

On August 10, 2022, Emmons signed with the Houston Texans. This was another NFL team. However, he was released by the Texans just five days later.

Saskatchewan Roughriders
