His Political Journey

Serving as Regent

In 2004, Bahrum Daido was elected to a very important local role. He became the vice-regent of Luwu. A regent is like a governor for a smaller area or district. He worked alongside Basmin Mattayang, who was the regent.

Later, in 2008, Bahrum Daido took over as the main regent of Luwu. He held this position until 2009. This role meant he was in charge of leading the government in the Luwu area.

Joining the Parliament

After his time as regent, Bahrum Daido moved to national politics. In 2009, he was elected as a member of the People's Representative Council. This is like being a member of parliament or congress in other countries. It means he helped make laws for all of Indonesia.
