Shiela Marie "Bang" Pineda (born January 21, 1991) is a talented Filipino volleyball player. She is known for her skills as a Libero, a special defensive position in volleyball. Liberos wear a different colored jersey and are experts at digging (saving the ball from hitting the floor) and receiving serves.

Volleyball Career

Bang Pineda started her volleyball journey playing for the Adamson Lady Falcons in the UAAP Season 75 and UAAP Season 76. The UAAP is a major university sports league in the Philippines. During her time there, she was recognized as the Best Server in UAAP Season 75. A "Best Server" is a player who is really good at serving the ball to start a rally.

After her university career, she joined the Cagayan Valley Lady Rising Suns. She played with them in the 11th Season Open Conference, where she was named the Best Digger. A "Best Digger" is a player who excels at digging up hard-hit balls to keep them in play. She also played in the 12th Season Reinforced Open Conference before moving to the Petron Tri-Activ Spikers.

In 2017, while playing for Petron, Bang Pineda achieved great success. She and her teammate Frances Molina won a bronze medal in the Beach Challenge Cup, which is a competition for beach volleyball. Later that year, her team, the Petron Blaze Spikers, won the championship in the All-Filipino Conference by beating the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers. They also reached the finals of the Grand Prix conference, finishing as runner-up against the same opponent.

Bang Pineda has played for several top clubs in the Philippines, showing her skills and dedication to the sport. She continues to be an important player for her teams.
