Barbara Labate (born around 1978) is an Italian entrepreneur and business leader. She helped create and now leads Risparmio Super, the first Italian website that lets you compare prices. By 2015, this website included 10,000 stores and had more than 300,000 users.

Barbara Labate's Journey
After finishing her studies in political science at the University of Messina in Italy in 1999, Barbara continued her education. She went to Columbia University in New York City. There, she earned her master's degree in 2003. She was able to do this thanks to a special scholarship called the Fulbright Scholarship. This scholarship helps students study abroad.
From 2004 to 2010, Barbara worked as a director at a company in Milan called McKay & Sisters. During this time, she helped create different projects. Over the years, she has started and supported many new businesses.
Creating Risparmio Super
Her biggest success has been Risparmio Super. She started this company in 2010. The name "Risparmio Super" means "Super Saver." It quickly became popular on the Italian AppStore. The website grew because it could read a product's barcode. Then, it would immediately show you where to find the best prices for that item. The Risparmio Super team has 13 people. They work from offices in Catania and Milan.
Barbara Labate has also been an important leader at Italia Startup. This is a non-profit group that helps new businesses in Italy.

Lady Pitch Night Winner
In 2013, Risparmio Super won the Lady Pitch Night competition in Paris. This competition chooses the best new company in Europe that was started by a woman. The event is organized by Girls in Tech and Orange.

In 2015, Barbara was chosen by Inspiring Fifty. This group named her one of the 50 most inspiring women in the European technology community. This award recognized her important contributions to the tech world.
