Barbara Tucker grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She started singing because of her dad, Jayotis Washington. He was an entertainer in a group called the Persuasions. Barbara also became an actress and performed in plays. She even won an award for her acting!
Besides singing, Barbara is a talented dancer and choreographer. She has created dances for many artists. These include groups like C&C Music Factory and Deee-Lite. She also choreographed the first Club Music Award show.
