Barranqueras is a city in the country of Argentina. It is located in the southeast part of the Chaco province. The city sits on a small river that flows into the Paraná River.
Barranqueras is very close to Resistencia, which is the capital city of Chaco province. It is only about 7 kilometers away. Because of this, Barranqueras is part of Resistencia's larger city area. In 2010, over 54,000 people lived in Barranqueras. This makes it the third biggest city in the Chaco province.

Barranqueras has a busy port on the Paraná River. A port is a place where ships can load and unload goods. This port is located at kilometer 1,198 along the Paraná River.
