The Barry Railway Class J locomotives were special steam trains used by the Barry Railway in South Wales. These engines were built between 1897 and 1899. They were designed by J. F. Hosgood.

These locomotives were built by two companies: Hudswell Clarke and Sharp, Stewart and Company. There were 11 of these trains made in total. They were mostly used for local train services between Barry and Cardiff. People knew them for always looking very neat and clean. All of them were kept at the Barry train sheds.

In 1922, these locomotives became part of the Great Western Railway. Sadly, none of them were saved. They were all taken out of service and scrapped between 1926 and 1930.
