Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel was a talented poet from the Balearic Islands in Spain. He wrote his poems in the Catalan language. Bartomeu was born in Palma, Majorca on August 3, 1913. Sadly, he passed away very young, at just 24 years old, on January 5, 1938, in El Brull, near Barcelona.

Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel was a bright student. He studied arts and philosophy in Barcelona, which is a big city in Spain. After that, he continued his studies and earned his PhD degree in Madrid, the capital of Spain. He loved learning and writing.
His Poetry
Even though he lived a short life, Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel created important works of poetry. His poems are still read and admired today. Here are some of his well-known collections:
