Baruch Dego (born March 28, 1982) is a former professional footballer from Israel. He was born in Ethiopia and played as a Right winger. Baruch also represented the Israeli national team.

Early Life and Family
Baruch Dego was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. He comes from an Ethiopian-Jewish family. In the 1990s, he moved to Israel with his parents and younger brothers. His younger brother, Messay Dego, also played football. Messay played for Israel's Under-21 national team. Today, Messay is a manager for the Maccabi Haifa football club.
Baruch Dego's Football Journey
Baruch Dego started his football career playing for Maccabi Ironi Ashdod. He showed great talent early on.
Success at Maccabi Tel Aviv
In 2000, Baruch joined Maccabi Tel Aviv. This was a very successful time for him. He helped the team win the Israeli championship once. They also won the Israel State Cup two times.
Playing in the Champions League
During the 2004-2005 season, Baruch played in the UEFA Champions League. This is a huge competition for top European clubs. He was the only player from Maccabi Tel Aviv to score goals in the group stage. He scored two goals against Ajax Amsterdam, helping his team win 2-1. He also scored a penalty goal against Juventus in a 1-1 draw. Another penalty goal came against Bayern Munich.
Moving to Hapoel Tel Aviv
After his time at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Baruch played for Hapoel Tel Aviv for three seasons. He continued his winning streak there. With Hapoel Tel Aviv, he won the Israel State Cup three more times.
Later Career and Other Clubs
Baruch later played for several other clubs. He joined Maccabi Netanya for a short time. Then he signed a contract with F.C. Ashdod. He also played for teams in Cyprus, like Nea Salamis Famagusta and Apollon Limassol.
In 2011, Baruch joined Ironi Ramat HaSharon. Later, he played for Hapoel Rishon LeZion. He hoped to help them move up to Israel's top football league. He continued to play for different clubs, including Hapoel Ashkelon and a return to Maccabi Ironi Ashdod, before ending his playing career.
