Baruch Dego (born March 28, 1982) is a former professional footballer from Israel. He was born in Ethiopia and played as a Right winger. Baruch also represented the Israel national team during his career.

Early Life and Family
Baruch Dego was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. His family, who were Ethiopian-Jewish, moved to Israel in the 1990s. Baruch has younger brothers. One of them, Messay Dego, also became a professional footballer. Messay played for the Israel U21 national team. As of 2025, Messay Dego is a manager for Maccabi Haifa.
Baruch Dego's Football Journey
Starting His Career
Baruch Dego began his football career playing for Maccabi Ironi Ashdod. He showed great talent early on. In the 2000-2001 season, he made a big move. He joined Maccabi Tel Aviv, one of Israel's top clubs.
Success at Maccabi Tel Aviv
At Maccabi Tel Aviv, Baruch Dego achieved significant success. He helped his team win the Israeli championship in the 2002–03 season. He also won two Israel State Cup trophies with them in 2001 and 2002. During the 2004–05 season, Maccabi Tel Aviv played in the UEFA Champions League. Baruch was the only player to score goals for Maccabi in the group stage. He scored two goals against Ajax Amsterdam in a 2–1 win. He also scored a penalty goal against Juventus (1–1) and another penalty goal against Bayern Munich.
Moving to Hapoel Tel Aviv
After his time at Maccabi Tel Aviv, Baruch Dego played for Hapoel Tel Aviv. He spent three seasons with this club. During these years, he continued to add to his trophy collection. He helped Hapoel Tel Aviv win three more Israel State Cup titles in 2005, 2006, and 2007.
Later Career and Other Clubs
After Hapoel Tel Aviv, Baruch Dego moved to Maccabi Netanya. This team was coached by the famous Lothar Matthäus. He played one official match there before signing a two-year contract with F.C. Ashdod. Later, he reunited with his former coach Nir Klinger at Nea Salamis Famagusta in Cyprus.
In May 2008, Apollon Limassol announced that Baruch Dego had signed a two-year contract with them. At Apollon Limassol, he played again with Aldo Adorno. They had been attack partners at Maccabi Tel Aviv during the 2003–2004 season.
On July 6, 2011, Baruch joined Ironi Ramat HaSharon. He played there until the middle of the 2012–13 season. After that, he signed with Hapoel Rishon LeZion. This team was in Israel's second league. He hoped to help them move up to the top league. He later played for Hapoel Ashkelon and finished his career back at Maccabi Ironi Ashdod.
