Basil Samuel Feldman, Baron Feldman (born September 23, 1923 – died November 19, 2019) was a British businessman. He was also a member of the Conservative Party. He served in the House of Lords, which is part of the UK Parliament, from 1996 until he retired in 2017.

Basil Feldman was born in September 1923. His parents were Tilly and Philip Feldman. He went to a school called the Grocers' School.
Starting a Business
Feldman started his first business in 1946 with a partner named Richard Beecham. He was known for his work in the toy industry. His businesses made popular toys like Sindy dolls, model aircraft kits, and even yo-yos.
Family Life
In 1952, Basil Feldman married his wife, Gita Julius. They had three children: two sons and one daughter. One of his sons is Nick Feldman. Nick is a famous bass guitarist in the band Wang Chung. Basil Feldman's younger sister was Fenella Fielding, who was an actress.
His Role in Parliament
Basil Feldman was given a special honor in 1982 when he was made a Knight Bachelor. This means he could use the title "Sir."
Later, on January 15, 1996, he became a life peer. This is a special title that allows someone to be a member of the House of Lords for their lifetime. He was given the title Baron Feldman. Important political figures like Margaret Thatcher helped him get this title. He officially joined the House of Lords on February 14, 1996.
Basil Feldman passed away in November 2019 when he was 96 years old.
