Bassem Srarfi (Arabic: بسام الصرارفي; born on June 25, 1997) is a talented professional footballer from Tunisia. He plays as a winger, which means he plays on the sides of the field, helping to attack and score goals. Bassem currently plays for Club Africain, a team in Tunisia, and also represents his home country, Tunisia, on their national football team.

Bassem Srarfi: A Young Football Star

Bassem Srarfi's journey in football began in Tunisia, where he quickly showed his skills. He has played for several clubs in different countries, including France and Belgium, before returning to his home country. He has also proudly represented Tunisia in major international tournaments.

Starting His Football Journey

Bassem started playing football in the youth teams of Tunisian clubs like Stade Tunisien and Club Africain. He worked hard and eventually made his first team debut for Club Africain on November 20, 2015. This was in a game against EGS Gafsa in the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Just three games later, Bassem scored his very first goal as a professional player. This exciting moment happened in a 2–2 draw against Hammam-Lif.

Playing in France with Nice

On February 1, 2017, Bassem joined Nice, a big club in France that plays in Ligue 1. Both the French and Tunisian football groups quickly approved his transfer.

He played his first game for Nice on February 24, 2017, in a Ligue 1 match against Montpellier. Bassem also played for Nice's reserve team, Nice II, in a league called Championnat National 2. He scored his first goal in French football for Nice II on October 28.

A few weeks later, on November 29, 2017, he scored his first goal for Nice's main team in Ligue 1. This important goal came in the final moments of the game, helping his team win 2–1 against Toulouse.

Moving to Belgium

In January 2020, Bassem moved to Belgium to play for Zulte Waregem, a team in the Belgian First Division A. He played there for about two years. In the summer of 2022, he and the club decided to end his contract.

After his time in Belgium, Bassem briefly played for Al-Arabi in Kuwait in 2023. Later that year, he returned to his former club, Club Africain, in Tunisia.

Representing Tunisia

Bassem Srarfi first got called up to play for the Tunisia national team in August 2017. He was part of the squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against DR Congo. Even though he didn't play in those games, it was a big step for him.

He made his official debut for Tunisia in a friendly match against Iran on March 23, 2018, which Tunisia won 1–0. In May 2018, Bassem was chosen to be in Tunisia's team for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He played his first World Cup game on June 28, when Tunisia won against Panama.

Bassem was also part of Tunisia's team for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, another major international tournament.
