The Batura Muztagh is a group of tall mountains that are part of the much larger Karakoram mountain range. Think of it like a smaller mountain range inside a giant one! It's located in a beautiful area called Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan.

This mountain group is the most western part of the Karakoram range. It stretches from a village called Chalt in the east all the way to Kampir Dior in the west. The Batura Muztagh is home to some amazing peaks, including Muchu Chhish, which is one of the highest mountains in the world that no one has ever climbed!

Amazing Mountains in Batura Muztagh

The Batura Muztagh has several very high and famous mountains. Here are some of the most important ones:

  • Batura Sar is the highest mountain in this group. It stands at an amazing 7,795 meters (25,574 feet) tall! Climbers first reached its top in 1976.
  • Shispare is another giant, reaching 7,611 meters (24,970 feet). It was first climbed in 1974.
  • Passu Sar is 7,476 meters (24,528 feet) high and was first climbed in 1994.
  • Ultar Sar is 7,388 meters (24,239 feet) tall. It was first climbed in 1996.
  • Sangemarmar Sar is about 7,000 meters (22,966 feet) high. It's also known as Marble Peak. The first time someone climbed it was in 1984.
  • Bublimotin is also called Ladyfinger Peak. It's about 6,000 meters (19,685 feet) tall and was first climbed in 1982.
