Bay Forest is a friendly neighborhood in the southeast part of Houston, Texas. It's located in Houston's Bay Area. This community is part of a larger group of neighborhoods called Clear Lake City.

Bay Forest is mostly made up of family homes, parks, and open green spaces. About 832 homes are in this area. The community officially started on November 18, 1985.

Bay Forest has many parks for its residents to enjoy. These parks offer great places to play, relax, and explore nature.

Bay Forest Park: Your Community Hub

This park is about 5.7 acres (23,000 m2) big. It has lots of cool features:

  • Shaded spots for picnics.
  • Open areas for games and activities.
  • A large swimming pool that's 25 yards (23 m) long with six lanes. It also has a diving area and a shallow wading pool for younger kids.
  • A building with bathrooms and showers.

Willow Shores Park: Sports and Play

Willow Shores Park is about 3 acres (12,000 m2). It's perfect for outdoor fun:

  • Big open fields for sports like soccer or football.
  • Shaded areas with benches nearby.
  • A concrete basketball court for full-court games.
  • Six picnic tables and benches.
  • A modern metal playground on a sandy area.
  • Many parking spaces.

Bay Forest Wildlife Preserve: Nature's Retreat

This special area is about 10.3 acres (42,000 m2). It's a natural home for plants and animals found along the Gulf Coast.

  • It has a 0.5 miles (0.80 km) crushed granite trail. You can use it for walking, running, or exploring.
  • This park is a quiet place to escape city life. It's located next to Horsepen Bayou.
  • The Houston Parks Board owns this park, and the community uses it.

Pocket Park and Erin Creek Island Park

  • Pocket Park is a 1 acre (4,000 m2) shaded, grassy park. It has a concrete walking path and benches.
  • Erin Creek Island Park is a smaller, shaded park. It has five benches, perfect for meeting friends or taking a break.
