Beatriz Luisa Ávila was born on 5 October 1966. She is an Argentine journalist and a politician. Currently, she serves as a National Senator for Tucumán Province.
Before becoming a Senator, Ávila was a member of the Legislature of Tucumán. She held this role from 2003 to 2017. Later, she served as a National Deputy from 2017 to 2021.

Early Life and Education
Beatriz Ávila was born in San Miguel de Tucumán. This city is located in Argentina. She studied social communication at Instituto San Miguel. She finished her studies in journalism in 1989.
From 1992 to 2003, she worked as a journalist. She wrote for La Gaceta, a newspaper in Tucumán. Beatriz Ávila is married to Germán Alfaro. He is the mayor of San Miguel de Tucumán. He also started the Party for Social Justice. Beatriz Ávila is a member of this political party.
Beatriz Ávila's Political Journey
Beatriz Ávila began her journey in national politics in 2017. She ran for a seat in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies. This was during the 2017 Argentine legislative election. She was the second candidate on the Cambiemos list for Tucumán.
The Cambiemos list received many votes. This allowed both Ávila and the first candidate to be elected. She officially became a National Deputy on 10 December 2017.
Working in Congress
As a National Deputy, Beatriz Ávila was part of several important groups. These groups are called parliamentary commissions. She worked on commissions for Freedom of Expression and Municipal Affairs. She also served on groups for Social Action and Public Health.
Ávila voted on important laws debated by the Argentine Congress. She often shared her views on these laws.
Becoming a National Senator
In the 2021 Argentine legislative election, Ávila ran for the Argentine Senate. She was a candidate for the Juntos por el Cambio (JxC) party in Tucumán. Her husband, Germán Alfaro, was also on the same list.
Juntos por el Cambio received the second-highest number of votes in the province. This meant Germán Alfaro would get a seat in the Senate. However, after the election, Alfaro decided not to take his seat. Because of this, the seat went to Beatriz Ávila. She was the next person on the JxC list.
