Beatriz Pascual Rodríguez was born on May 9, 1982, in Viladecans, Spain. She is a talented race walker. Race walking is a sport where athletes walk as fast as they can, but they must always keep one foot on the ground. It's different from running because there's a strict rule about keeping contact with the ground.

Beatriz holds the national record for Spain in the 5000-meter track walk. This means she has the fastest time ever recorded by a Spanish woman in that event, finishing in 20 minutes and 53.97 seconds. She was also Spain's national champion in the 20 km walk event in both 2006 and 2008.

She has represented Spain in many big competitions. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, she finished an impressive sixth place in the women's 20 km walk. She also competed in the World Championships in Athletics, where she placed 13th in 2007 and 6th in 2009. In 2005, she won a bronze medal at the 2005 Mediterranean Games.

Overcoming Challenges

In November 2010, Beatriz faced a challenge when she suffered an injury. However, she worked hard and returned to training in March 2010. She continued to compete at a high level.

In 2010, she finished eleventh at the 2010 IAAF World Race Walking Cup. Later that year, she won a race in Spain called the Gran Premio Cantones de La Coruña. She also placed ninth in the 20 km walk at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics.

Olympic and World Stage Performances

Beatriz started 2012 with a win at the Rio Maior GP. At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she finished in 8th place in the 20 km race walk.

She continued to show her skill in major events. In 2013, she was part of the Spanish team that won a bronze medal at the 2013 European Race Walking Cup. She also finished sixth in the 20 km walk at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics in Moscow. In 2014, she placed eighth at the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich.
