Beau Ryan (born 11 May 1985) is an Australian television and radio presenter. He is also a former professional rugby league player. He played for the Wests Tigers and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League. He played as a winger, centre, and fullback. Ryan is also well known for his funny segments on The Footy Show. He announced his retirement from rugby league on 5 June 2014. This was due to a neck injury. Beau Ryan released a song called "Where You From?" with Justice Crew on 19 September 2014.
Currently, Ryan hosts Network 10's reality show The Amazing Race Australia. He also co-hosts a breakfast radio show on Triple M Sydney. His co-hosts are Natarsha Belling and Aaron Woods.

Early Life and Junior Football
Beau Ryan has some Irish family background. He grew up in a place called Albion Park. He played junior football with Wests Illawarra. In 2003, Ryan was chosen to play for the New South Wales Schoolboys team. In 2005, he won the Jersey Flegg Cup with the St. George Illawarra Dragons team. He left the club because other players were ahead of him.
Beau Ryan's TV and Radio Career
From 2009, Ryan started appearing on The Footy Show. He made regular funny appearances. In 2010, he started his own comedy part called "Beau Knows...". He also created two popular characters. These were DJ Yallah, an Egyptian-Australian DJ, and Donnie Palmer, a Titans trainer. He also made sketches that joked about other NRL players.
His former coach, Tim Sheens, said that Ryan's TV appearances were like a hobby. He said it was fine as long as it did not affect his football. Ryan continued on The Footy Show and had a bigger role in 2012.
In 2014, Ryan had a disagreement with NRL player Jamie Soward. Ryan had joked about Soward on The Footy Show. Soward was reportedly upset that Ryan made fun of his voice. Ryan told the media that his jokes were light-hearted. He said he did not mean to hurt anyone.
In June 2016, Ryan was part of a segment on The Footy Show. Some viewers thought it was "racist" and "terrible". The Nine Network later said sorry for the segment.
On 15 July 2016, Soward teased Ryan on social media. This happened after Ryan did another skit about him on The Footy Show. In the skit, Soward's face was put onto a black cat. Ryan joked about coaches trying to sneak into games. Soward then posted a picture of himself with a trophy. He won it as a player in 2010.
Ryan has also worked in advertising. He has contracts for different clothing brands.
In 2017, Ryan started filming a movie called “Chasing Comets”. It was about rugby league and AFL. He played a rugby league player named Tom in the movie. The movie was released in cinemas in 2018. It was shown on Network 10 in 2019. This was Beau Ryan's first time acting in a film.
In 2018, Ryan co-hosted a radio show. He worked with John Stanley on Macquarie Sports Radio. He later left the show.
In 2019, Ryan became the host of The Amazing Race Australia on Network 10. He took over from Grant Bowler.
In January 2022, Ryan was a contestant on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Australia. He left the show on day 14.
In October 2023, it was announced that Ryan would host Gladiators Australia. He hosts it with Liz Ellis.
In 2025, Ryan became a co-host of Triple M Sydney's breakfast show. He works with Aaron Woods and Natarsha Belling.

Professional Rugby League Career
Playing for Wests Tigers
Ryan joined the Wests Tigers team. He played his first game in round 16 of the 2007 NRL season. He played two more games that year. He scored a try in his second game. The next season, he played in 15 games.
From 2009, Ryan was a regular winger for the Wests Tigers. He scored his personal best of 13 tries that year. This included seven tries in the last four games. Soon after, Ryan signed a contract to stay with the Tigers until the end of the 2012 season.
Injuries affected Ryan's season in 2011. He did not play in his usual position until round 14. He scored 8 tries in the remaining 13 games. This included a try in the final match against St George Illawarra. The Wests Tigers won that game 21–12.
Ryan started the 2012 season by scoring 4 tries in his first 3 games. Later that season, he played in the centres and at fullback. Many people thought he was the most improved player. He played in all 24 games for the club in 2012. He scored 9 tries. He made 310 runs during the year. This was among the top twenty in the NRL. He was also chosen for the Prime Minister's XIII team.
Ryan had announced on The Footy Show that he would extend his contract. However, he later signed a three-year contract with the Cronulla Sharks. Ryan said he agreed to a deal but never signed any official papers.
Playing for Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
Ryan started playing for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the 2013 NRL season. During this time, the club was being investigated by ASADA. In the finals for this season, he scored a try against the North Queensland Cowboys. This try was controversial. It was called a "7th tackle try". This try decided the match and knocked the Cowboys out of the competition.
On 5 June 2014, Ryan announced his immediate retirement from rugby league. He made this announcement on The NRL Footy Show. He retired because of an ongoing neck injury.
Music Career
Beau Ryan released his first song called "Where You From?" on 19 September 2014. It featured the group Justice Crew. Sony Music Australia released the song. It reached number 19 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Personal Life
Beau Ryan and his longtime partner, Kara Orrell, announced they were expecting their first child. They also said they were engaged in August 2012. The couple got married on 14 October 2012. Kara gave birth to their daughter, Remi, in January 2013. Beau's son, Jesse, was born in July 2017.
