The Beaudet River is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It's known in French as rivière Beaudet. This river is like a smaller stream that feeds into a bigger one, the Gentilly River. The Gentilly River then flows into the mighty St. Lawrence River. The Beaudet River flows through the area of Sainte-Marie-de-Blandford. This area is part of the Bécancour Regional County Municipality in the Centre-du-Québec region.
Where the Beaudet River Flows
The Beaudet River starts its journey in the southern part of Sainte-Marie-de-Blandford. It begins in a forested area where small streams come together. This starting point is about 3.2 kilometers east of the village.
The River's Path
From its source, the Beaudet River flows for about 10.1 kilometers. As it travels, the river drops about 52 meters in elevation. This means it flows downhill, getting lower as it goes.
- First, it flows about 3.1 kilometers to the northwest. It passes under Route 226.
- Next, it turns west and flows for about 2.1 kilometers. Here, it crosses under Route 263.
- Finally, it continues west for about 4.9 kilometers. It crosses a road called Route des Flamants before reaching its end.
Where the River Ends
The Beaudet River eventually joins the Gentilly River. It empties into the Gentilly River on its west bank. This meeting point is about 3.7 kilometers northeast of Sainte-Gertrude. It is also about 4.5 kilometers west of Sainte-Marie-de-Blandford.
