History of Beauregard
Beauregard was settled in the late 1800s. It was named after P.G.T. Beauregard, a general who fought for the Confederacy during the American Civil War.
On March 3, 2019, a very strong tornado hit Beauregard. This tornado was rated EF4, which means it caused extreme damage. Many homes and businesses were badly damaged or completely destroyed. The community worked together to recover and rebuild after this difficult event.
