The Beaver Valley Ski Club is a private club for skiing and snowboarding. It is located in Beaver Valley, Ontario, Canada.

This club is built on a very hilly part of the Niagara Escarpment, right next to the famous Bruce Trail. It has 28 different trails for all skill levels. You can also find five awesome snowparks here. These parks include a special course for snowboard and ski cross races. There are also runs for moguls and slopestyle, which are types of freestyle skiing. You can even try glade skiing through trees or a super steep, smooth ski bowl!

Beaver Valley Ski Club offers a lot of fun for skiers and snowboarders.

Trails for Every Skill Level

The club has over 28 trails. This means there's something for everyone, from beginners to expert riders.

  • Beginner Trails: 7 trails (about 23%) are perfect for those just starting out.
  • Intermediate Trails: 15 trails (about 50%) are great for riders who know the basics and want to improve.
  • Advanced Trails: 3 trails (about 10%) offer more challenge for experienced skiers and snowboarders.
  • Expert Trails: 2 trails (about 7%) are for the most skilled riders looking for a real thrill.
  • Freestyle Terrain: 3 areas (about 10%) are dedicated to jumps, rails, and other freestyle fun.

Awesome Snowparks

Beaver Valley has five different snowparks where you can practice your tricks.

  • Beginner Park: A safe place to learn new moves.
  • Intermediate - Progression Park: For riders ready to try bigger challenges.
  • Main Park: The biggest park with lots of features.
  • Rail Plaza: A special area just for rails and boxes.
  • Snowboard/Ski Cross Course: A championship-level course for racing.

The Playground snowpark at Beaver Valley is one of the longest and best snowparks in Ontario. It has many cool features to try.

Lifts and Facilities

To get you up the mountain, the club has six different lifts. These include two quad chairs, one triple chair, two double chairs, and a magic carpet for beginners. The club also has two lodges where you can warm up and relax. If you need gear, there's a ski and snowboard shop with rentals available.

Exciting Events and Competitions

Beaver Valley Ski Club is known for hosting many fun and challenging events.

Major Competitions

The club hosts several big events each year:

  • Beaver Valley Banked Slalom: This is part of the World Snowboard Banked Slalom Tour, attracting top riders.
  • Mogulmania: A competition for both skiers and snowboarders who love moguls (bumps on the snow).
  • Beaver Valley Park Brawl: A popular snowboarding event where riders show off their skills in the terrain park.

Beaver Valley also hosts many Canadian Series events for moguls and slopestyle. In 2016, the club was proud to host the Canadian Junior Freestyle Ski Championship. This big event featured young athletes competing in slopestyle, moguls, big air, and aerials.

Awards and Recognition

Beaver Valley Ski Club has received special awards for its efforts.

Sustainable Slopes Award

The club has won two Sustainable Slopes awards from the National Ski Areas Association. This award recognizes ski areas that are working to protect the environment. Beaver Valley is the only snow resort in Canada to have received this important award!

Featured in Movies and Magazines

You might have seen Beaver Valley Ski Club in a movie! The mogul skiing scenes for the 2017 film Molly's Game were filmed right here. The club was also featured on the cover of Snowboard Canada magazine's Fall 2018 issue.

The club's terrain park has also been recognized. It was nominated for "Best Terrain Park Feature" in 2018 and "Best Terrain Park Event" in both 2018 and 2019 by Ski Area Management magazine.
