What's in a Name? The Story of Bee
The community of Bee almost had a different name! It was originally meant to be named after Dee Taylor. She was the daughter of some of the first people to settle in the area. However, the U.S. Post Office Department decided to change the name to "Bee." The post office in Bee was open for many years, from April 5, 1889, until June 15, 1918.
