History of Beeler
Beeler began as an important stop along the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. This railroad was a major way to transport goods and people across the country. Beeler served as a "station and shipping point," meaning trains would stop here to drop off and pick up items.
The community was named after its founder, Elmer Beeler. He played a key role in setting up the area.
Beeler's Post Office
The first post office in Beeler opened its doors in 1886. Back then, it was called "Beelerville." Having a post office was very important for a community, as it connected people through mail. However, the post office eventually closed down in 2009.
