What Happened to Beeville?
Beeville was officially planned and marked out in 1884. This process is called "platting." It means someone drew a map dividing the land into lots for houses and businesses. Beeville was set up along the Toledo, St. Louis and Western Railroad.
Why Did Beeville Disappear?
Even though Beeville had at least 10 lots for buildings, it never grew very much. Only a few people ever lived there. Over time, the town slowly faded away. Today, you can find very little, if any, trace of Beeville.
