The Story of Belden
Belden has an interesting past! It wasn't always called Belden. Long ago, it was known as Rawsonville.
- In 1852, a post office opened there, helping people send and receive letters.
- Later, in 1876, the name of the community changed to Belden. This new name came from an early settler named Bildad Beldin, who was one of the first people to live in the area.
- The post office eventually closed in 1902.
