About Benamocarra
Benamocarra is a lovely place located in the sunny region of Andalusia, Spain. It's a small community where people live and work together. The town is known for its quiet atmosphere and its connection to the beautiful Spanish countryside.
Meet the Mayor
Since 2003, the mayor of Benamocarra has been Abdeslam Jesús Aoulad Ben Salem Lucena. A mayor is the leader of a town or city, chosen by the people who live there. Their job is to help manage the town and make decisions for its residents.
Mr. Lucena was re-elected in 2007, meaning the people of Benamocarra chose him to continue leading their town. He belongs to a political group called Por Mi Pueblo/Partido Andalucista. What makes him special is that he was the first, and is still the only, Spanish mayor who has Moroccan family roots. He is also part of the main leadership group of his political party.
