Benishe Dillard-Roberts, born on August 20, 1977, is an amazing American volleyball player. She was a key member of the United States women's national volleyball team. Benishe, also known as Bennie, is known for her powerful spikes and blocks on the court.

Early Life and High School Success

Benishe Dillard-Roberts started her volleyball journey at Kent-Meridian High School. She was a true leader for her school's volleyball team. She helped them reach the 4A state volleyball tournament three times in a row! In 1993, her team finished second, and in 1994, they took third place. This showed everyone how talented she was from a young age.

College Championships

After high school, Benishe continued playing volleyball at Long Beach State. Her time there was incredibly successful. In 1998, she helped her team achieve something truly special: an undefeated season! They won all 36 of their games. This amazing streak led them to win the NCAA volleyball championship. Benishe was recognized for her outstanding play and was named to the NCAA Final Four all-tournament team that year.

Playing for Team USA

Benishe Dillard-Roberts joined the U.S. National Volleyball Team from 1999 to 2001. This is a huge honor for any athlete! She was even an alternate for the 2000 Olympic Games, which means she was ready to step in if needed. While playing for the U.S. team, she competed in the 2001 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Grand Champions Cup. This is a big international tournament where top teams from around the world compete.

Professional Volleyball Career

After her time with the national team, Benishe played professional volleyball. She played for the St. Louis Quest team. In 2002, she was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the league, which is a fantastic achievement! Her talent also took her overseas. She played professionally in several countries, including Italy, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, and Spain. This allowed her to experience different cultures and play against many top players worldwide.
