Bennie Fowler III (born June 10, 1991) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football for Michigan State. He then joined the Denver Broncos in 2014 as an undrafted free agent, meaning he wasn't chosen in the main NFL draft but was signed afterward.

Early Life and High School Football
Bennie Fowler III grew up in Beverly Hills, Michigan. He went to Detroit Country Day School. There, he was known as a top football player in the Midwest. Experts like SuperPrep and PrepStar named him to their All-Midwest Teams.
During his junior year in 2007, Bennie missed five games because of a broken collarbone. Even so, he caught 12 passes for 265 yards and scored four touchdowns. In his senior year in 2008, he had an amazing season. He gained a total of 1,478 yards and scored 15 touchdowns. He caught 32 passes for 683 yards and six touchdowns. He also played defense, making 16 tackles.
Throughout his high school career, Bennie caught 44 passes for 903 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also ran the ball 58 times for 542 yards and nine touchdowns.
Besides football, Bennie was also a talented athlete in other sports. In 2008, he won the Oakland County 100-meter race and the state long jump title in track and field. He was also part of his school's basketball team that won the state championship in 2007.
College Football Career
After high school, Bennie went to Michigan State University to play football for the Spartans.
In his first year (2009), Bennie "redshirted." This means he practiced with the team but didn't play in games. It allowed him to train and get stronger without using up a year of his college eligibility. He had a foot injury that year.
In 2010, as a redshirt freshman, he played in all 13 games. He had 14 catches for 175 yards. He also returned 15 kickoffs for 336 yards. In 2011, he played in only five games due to another foot injury.
His junior year in 2012 was a breakout season. He led the team with 524 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 41 passes. In his senior year in 2013, he again led the team in receiving yards (622) and touchdowns (six). His six touchdowns were among the best in the Big Ten Conference that year.

Denver Broncos
Bennie Fowler signed with the Denver Broncos in 2014 as an undrafted free agent. He was first placed on the team's practice squad. This is a group of players who practice with the team but aren't on the main roster.
Winning the Super Bowl
In 2015, Bennie played in all 16 regular season games for the Broncos. He caught 16 passes for 203 yards. The biggest moment of his career came on February 7, 2016. He was part of the Broncos team that won Super Bowl 50! They beat the Carolina Panthers 24–10.
Towards the end of that game, Bennie caught a special pass. It was a two-point conversion from legendary quarterback Peyton Manning. This play made the score 24–10 and helped secure the Broncos' Super Bowl title. What's even more amazing is that this was the very last pass of Peyton Manning's incredible career.
Bennie re-signed with the Broncos in 2016. That season, he played in 13 games, catching 11 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns. In 2017, he had his best season with the Broncos. He caught a career-high 29 passes for 350 yards and scored three touchdowns. In one game against the Los Angeles Chargers, he scored two touchdowns, which was a career best for him.
Other NFL Teams
After his time with the Broncos, Bennie played for several other NFL teams:
- Chicago Bears: He signed with the Bears in April 2018 but was released before the season started.
- New England Patriots: He briefly signed with the Patriots in September 2018 but was released a few days later.
- New York Giants: In October 2018, Bennie joined the New York Giants. He scored his first touchdown with the Giants in a big win against the Washington Redskins. In 2018, he had 16 catches for 199 yards and one touchdown in 10 games. He re-signed with the Giants in 2019 but was released and re-signed a couple of times that season. He finished 2019 with 23 catches for 193 yards.
- New Orleans Saints: Bennie signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2020. He was on their practice squad and was moved to the main team for a few games. He played in five games before being placed on injured reserve after shoulder surgery.
- San Francisco 49ers: He signed with the San Francisco 49ers in May 2021 but was released in July of that year.

Personal Life
Bennie Fowler's parents are Bennie Fowler Jr. and Teresa Gueyser. He has a younger brother, Chris Fowler, who played college basketball. His younger sister played college volleyball. Bennie is also good friends with Draymond Green, a famous basketball player for the Golden State Warriors. Draymond also went to Michigan State University.
