Bernard Benton, born on January 6, 1957, is an American former professional boxer. He was known as "The Bull" during his boxing career. He became a champion in the Cruiserweight division, holding important titles like the World Boxing Council (WBC) and The Ring magazine cruiserweight titles.

Bernard Benton started his professional boxing career in 1981. He was a powerful fighter, earning him the nickname "The Bull." In 1985, he achieved a big victory by winning the WBC and lineal cruiserweight titles. He won these titles by defeating Alfonso Ratliff in a decision match.
However, Bernard lost his titles in his very first defense. In 1986, he fought against Carlos De León and lost the match by decision. Bernard Benton continued to box for several more years before he retired from the sport in 1995.
