A Look Back: Beverly's History

Beverly used to be known by a slightly different name: "Beverly Station." A post office opened there in 1874, and it was called Beverly Station. Later, in 1946, the name was officially changed to Beverly. The post office eventually closed its doors in 1960. The community got its name from a man named Mr. Beverly, who worked for the railroad.
