The Biever House is a historic home located in Annville Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. It was built a long time ago, in 1814. This house is a great example of old American architecture.
What is the Biever House?
The Biever House is a two-and-a-half story building. It is five sections wide across the front. The house is built from strong limestone. It was designed in a style called vernacular Georgian. This style was popular in the early 1800s.
The house has a pointed roof with windows that stick out. These are called dormers. Later, in the mid-1800s, a two-story stone part was added to the house. This addition also has a two-story wooden porch.
Why is Biever House Important?
Biever House is very special because it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. This is a list of important places in America. These places are worth saving because they tell us about history.
The house is also a "contributing property" in the Annville Historic District. This means it's one of the buildings that helps make the Annville area a historic place. It adds to the overall history and look of the neighborhood.
