The Billado Block is a really old and important building in Enosburg Falls, a village in Enosburgh, Vermont. It's located at 371 Main Street. This building was built around 1885. What Does the Billado Block Look Like?
The Billado Block is in the heart of Enosburg Falls village. You can find it at the corner of Bismarck Street and Main Street. Main Street is also known as Vermont Route 108N. The building is a short distance south of where the old Missisquoi Railroad tracks used to be.
Building Design and Features
The Billado Block is a three-story building. It's shaped like a rectangle. It's made from strong red brick walls. The roof is flat. The building has a special style called Italianate. This style includes cool details like brick corners. It also has brick decorations above its arched windows. A fancy trim piece, called a cornice, runs along the top.
The front of the building has four sections. The ground floor has two separate storefronts. Each storefront has large glass windows. These windows are on either side of a door that is set back. A decorative brick column goes up the center of the front.

The ground floor of the Billado Block is still used for businesses today. The second floor has apartments where people live. The third floor is an open space. It was probably used for storage when the building was a general store.

The Billado Block was built around 1885. It was built for a man named William Billado. He was an immigrant from Canada. William Billado moved to the village in 1876. He started a general store there.
History of the Billado Block
William Billado ran his general store in this building. He likely lived in one of the apartments on the second floor. He continued to run the store until he passed away in 1925. He also rented out part of the ground floor. A local bank used that space.
In 1960, the Enosburg Falls Bank bought the entire building. Today, a bank that merged with the original Enosburg Falls Bank still uses the building.
