Birdsview is a small place located in Skagit County, in the state of Washington. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own city government or mayor. Instead, it's managed by the larger county government.

How Birdsview Got Its Name
The community of Birdsview was named after a person! His name was Birdsey Minkler, but everyone called him "Bird." He was one of the first postmasters in the area.
The First Post Office
A post office was opened in Birdsview in 1881. This was an important place for people to send and receive letters and packages. The post office stayed open for many years, finally closing its doors in 1934.
