The Museum Collection Centre (often called the MCC) in Nechells, Birmingham, England is a huge building. It's about 1.5 hectares, which is like 3.7 acres! This amazing place stores 80% of all the items belonging to the Birmingham Museums Trust. It's one of the biggest museum storage places in the whole United Kingdom.

What's Inside the Museum Collection Centre?
The MCC holds thousands of interesting objects. Imagine finding old Steam engines here! Many of these giant machines came from the former Birmingham Museum of Science and Industry.
You can also see a fantastic collection of classic cars. These include vehicles from famous British companies like Austin, Rover, and MG. Other cool items include a classic red phone box and even a unique Sinclair C5 electric vehicle.
How Can You Visit the MCC?

The Museum Collection Centre also runs a special program called "The Museum in a Box" service. This service lets schools and community groups borrow real, original items from the museum's collection. A Special Discovery
In September 2014, something very exciting happened at the MCC. A trainee curator named Lukas Large made an amazing discovery. He found a taxidermied (preserved) specimen of a passenger pigeon. This bird, known scientifically as Ectopistes migratorius, is sadly long extinct. Finding such a rare specimen was a significant moment for the museum!
